Patient Participation Group

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive the Practice and our staff.

Why get involved?

At Bensham Family Practice we are committed to providing a high quality service and evolving to meet the needs of our patients. To do this effectively it is important to collate information from patients regarding their experiences and expectations. The forum gives you an opportunity to voice your opinions and discuss with other patients how you would like our practice to deliver.

What will you discuss?

We want to know what is important to you. For example:

  • Improvements or developments you would like to see
  • Concerns
  • What you like about the practice
  • What you don’t like about the practice
  • What you expect from us
  • How changes have affected you
  • What we are doing well and should continue
  • What information should we share with patients

You will be able to discuss issues with fellow patients, share and identify common goals, explore how we can overcome any obstacles and develop possible solutions.

The intended result is to provide a high quality service and strengthen relationships between the practice and patient.

Who should attend?

Anyone who is a registered patient at Bensham Family Practice and is aged 16 years or over can attend

How can you get involved?

The meetings are usually scheduled outside of Practice hours to enable better access.  See this website for meeting dates.

Contact Ashley Kerrigan at Bensham Family Practice and give your details.  If you have any subject to discuss this should be communicated to Ashley prior to the meeting to enable the agenda to run to time.  The meetings will usually last 1 hour.

What happens next?

The Forum Facilitator Ashley Kerrigan will document the minutes of the meeting and report back to the Practice Manager Katrina Roberts.  Katrina will review the minutes and highlight any possible action points.  These will then be communicated to the Practice Partners and if necessary the Practice Team.  Feedback will be provided and published on our website within the minutes.
